FAQ
FAQ
What is a Strike Mobile Broadband Antenna Kit?
A Strike Mobile Broadband Antenna Kit includes a high-gain external antenna and the correct patch lead adapter for your modem. It is designed to boost and stabilise your mobile broadband signal whether at home, in the office, or on the go.
Which devices are supported by the Netgear Nighthawk M7 Ultra Magnetic Base Mobile Antenna Booster?
This Strike Kit is designed specifically for the Netgear Nighthawk M7 Ultra, ensuring perfect compatibility and reliable performance.
Does the kit come with the modem or hotspot?
No. The Strike Kit includes only the external antenna and patch lead. The modem, hotspot, or router must be purchased separately.
How does the patch lead work?
The patch lead acts as a secure bridge between the Strike antenna and your modem. It connects via SMA or FME at the antenna end and plugs directly into your modem’s antenna port, ensuring a strong and stable link for better signal performance.
Will this kit help with mobile broadband dropouts?
Yes. By connecting your modem to an external antenna, the Strike Kit helps reduce signal dropouts, improve reception, and deliver faster, more stable broadband speeds. It is especially effective in rural areas or regions with weak coverage.
What can affect mobile signal performance?
Mobile signal performance depends on distance and direction to the nearest tower, network congestion, terrain, foliage, and even vehicle interference. Strike antennas do not create signals; they capture existing ones from stronger locations and deliver them to your modem. If no mobile signal is available, the antenna cannot generate one. For optimisation, see our Mobile Broadband Antenna Kit Guide.
Can I use the kit in vehicles or indoors?
Yes. The Strike Mobile Broadband Antenna Kit is versatile and works in cars, trucks, 4WDs, as well as home and office setups for consistent connectivity.
