Apple iPad Mini 5 Rumors

Apple has launched their latest flagship iPhones this year, but more Apple products are on the way before the year ends or early next year. Several rumours have been going around in the tech community about a new iPad Mini in the works.

It has been a long time since the release of the most recent iPad Mini 4. The rumoured iPad Mini 5 was not announced during the special press event last October when new iPad Pros, Mac mini, MacBook Air, and a redesigned Apple Pencil were mentioned.

Notable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo made several predictions regarding the Apple iPad Mini 5. The new iPad Mini is rumoured to be equipped with an upgraded processor, but with a lower-cost panel. It means that the iPad Mini 5 will potentially be faster and better performing than the past iPad Minis, but with a lower price range.

According to leaks, the iPad Mini 5 will not be much different from the Mini 4 in terms of design and build. It will still have the slim metal shell users are familiar with. However, if it will take on the trend of removing the home button, which is likely, the new iPad Mini can have bigger screens. But since it is predicted to be a “lower cost panel”, it will be an LCD screen and not OLED panels. It might have the True Tone feature as seen on other Apple products.

There aren’t many details leaked regarding the cameras and battery for the new iPad. This means that it could take the same camera, battery and speaker features as the iPad Mini 4 or the iPad Pro 10.5. These rumours will only be put to rest once the new iPad Mini is released.
