Strike Group to upgrade its Alpha Cradles to support 700MHz

BRISBANE, 21 August 2014 – The 700 megahertz (MHz) band is a set of ultra-high frequencies once used for analogue TV services in Australia. Now, this frequency band will be used to push for faster 4G mobile services. These frequencies can travel farther & pass through walls with less interruption. This means that the 700 MHz band will improve mobile reception and broaden coverage.

It is currently being rolled out by various mobile networks for trial across Australia. It is expected for a full, nationwide release in early 2015.

The Strike Alpha HTC One M8 and Samsung Galaxy S5 cradles are two devices tailored to suit 700 MHz capabilities. These cradles, and the entire Strike Alpha range, allow you to charge and hold your phone legally and boost reception. With the combination of Strike’s technology and the capabilities of 700 MHz, imagine how your mobile experience will drastically improve.

Future mobile devices are expected to support the 700 MHz frequency.
