Strike CEO Chris Ryan offers free car cradle to Bill Shorten following the issue of illegal use of mobile phone behind the wheel
BRISBANE, December 14, 2015 – Following the release of the video footage showing the opposition leader Bill Shorten texting behind the wheel, authorities have reiterated the seriousness of using mobile phones illegally whilst driving.
According to The Australian, the footage is believed to have been taken on 23rd August in Melbourne after the opposition leader had dropped his children off at music classes.
In Victoria, breaking this law has a penalty of $443 fine and four demerit points.
Mr. Shorten has since acknowledged his mistake, with a promise to not re-offend.
Brisbane-based car cradle manufacturer Strike Group CEO Chris Ryan said, “The primary reason for Strike manufacturing and distributing Australian made car cradles is to encourage drivers to use their phones legally when in the car. We are continuously innovating our range of hands-free products, not just for convenience, but so Australian's can use their phones in a safe, legal and responsible manner.”
Ryan concluded, “Strike is happy to offer Bill a car cradle for free for his next trip.”
